The
Third Chair Chamber Players are loading up their music, their
instruments and their enthusiasm and heading to Cambridge for the fifth
annual summer concert series. We can't wait to see the lush river
valley, the gorgeous sunsets, the bright stars, and of course all our
wonderful friends!
Hosts
Dick Shoemaker and Becky Van de Bogart invite you to their home in
Cambridge for a relaxing evening of food, beverages and chamber music.
Chef Barnes and Chef Sehnert will be back again to create their
fabulous gourmet feasts. And of course there will be plenty of
incredible music!
In
June we celebrate the rich and beautiful sound of the cello with
Debussy's sonata for cello and piano, Haydn's trio for horn, violin and
cello, and a duo for flute and cello by Villa-Lobos. We'll also have
some toe-tapping Hebrew folk tunes by David Schiff for clarinet, violin
and piano, and a flute-horn-piano trio by Katherine Hoover.
You'll
be enchanted by July's program which features music for harp and
chamber ensemble from around the globe. The harmonious sounds of harp
and piano, the melodic blend of harp and clarinet, and the ever-popular
trio of flute, viola and harp will delight your senses. We'll even
throw in some Latin rhythms for marimba to round out the evening.
